I remember Kelowna 30 years past. It was a small city with a friendly auora.
Today, Kelowna is a city that has fallen victim to urban sprall and big city’itis. Walking around Highway 97 is a challenge as there are few sidewalks.
Drivers are impatient with drivers doing the speed limit. Passing on the right is commonplace and speeding the norm. Kelowna has become a motor city dependent on consumption lifestyles. Unfortunately, these lifestyles are not sustainable and reconstruction will be needed.
